Waiting for fresh healthy food

Finally it is garden season. I can quit dreaming about fresh, organic food and grow some or buy it at a Farmers Market. Especially different greens since putting them in smoothies for breakfast has become a pleasant way to start the day.

Recipe: 1 cup frozen blueberries, 1 banana, 1 cup or small can pineapple packed in its own juice and include the juice, 2 handfuls of organic mixed super greens, 1 cup ice and filtered water as needed.

All goes into a blender (I use a Vita Mix) and becomes a very refreshing drink for breakfast and throughout the day as you get about 1 quart which should be drank within 24 hours. You could try freezing leftovers or have it for 2 breakfasts.
